‘Hyper Light Drifter’ and All of Abylight’s Other Premium iOS Games Currently Just 99¢ for Cyber Monday

Last week we highlighted some pretty excellent Black Friday iOS game deals, many of which are still ongoing, but today is all about the cyber. Cyber Monday, to be exact. Yes, another totally made-up reason to have a bunch of sales! I’m not going to argue. While I’m sure there’s plenty of other things on sale today, what I really wanted to draw attention to is Abylight’s current Cyber Monday blowout. Headlining this would be the absolutely phenomenal Zelda-inspired action RPG Hyper Light Drifter ($0.99), which you can nab for a whopping 99¢. We gave Hyper Light Drifter 5 stars in our review and picked it as our Game of the Week when it released last year. It’s darn-near criminal selling a game of this caliber at this low of a price. But wait, there’s more! All of Abylight’s iOS games are down to 99¢, and they basically only publish good stuff. This includes a trio of games from indie developer duo Locomalito and Gryzor87. First up is Super Hydorah ($0.99), a horizontal shoot ’em up inspired by the classics of the genre and also a game we enjoyed in our review. Then there is Cursed Castilla ($0.99), a game very heavily inspired by the Ghouls ‘n Ghosts series. It’s an absolutely fantastic game but due simply to its nature it’s a bit trickier than it should be playing...

Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim review: More stylish than functional

NotePal X-Slim By Cooler Master Positives Sleek and slim USB pass-through Two tilt settings Easily portable Negatives Cooling power is only just okay No fan speed controls Thin metal and plastic construction feels a little cheap Bottom Line The Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim is an average laptop cooler without the features or performance to stand out from the pack. The sleek design and USB cable storage makes it easily portable, but it struggles when cooling high spec laptops during heavy workloads. We recommend it for MacBooks, Ultrabooks, and similar devices where a little cooling goes a longer way. Read the full review Go to Source Author: Joe...

SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘Robotics;Notes’ Review, Mini-Views Featuring ‘Tropico 6’, Plus the Latest Releases and Sales

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for November 30th, 2020. It’s the last day of what is usually the busiest month of the year, but the Switch still has plenty of fire left for December. We’ll see that as the week goes on, but for today we’re mostly looking back. There’s a little news, a full review of Robotics;Notes by good ol’ Mikhail, a handful of Mini-Views by yours truly, summaries of the new releases that popped up over the weekend, and the usual lists of incoming and outgoing sales. It’s a big read, so let’s get started! News ‘SaGa Frontier Remastered’ Coming to Switch in Summer 2021 Can’t say I saw this one coming. For many Western gamers, SaGa Frontier was their first experience with a game carrying the SaGa title. It was one of the first post-Final Fantasy 7 RPGs from Square in the West, and a whole lot of people bought it expecting something that was… well, not a SaGa game, which SaGa Frontier very much is. On top of the usual quirkiness connected with the series, SaGa Frontier also suffered from feeling unfinished, like there was meant to be more to the story to tie it all together. Well, here we go. SaGa Frontier Remastered is coming to the Switch and many other platforms in summer of 2021, and it adds new...

Xbox Series X review: A legend in the making

Xbox Series X By Microsoft $499 purchasing options Positives Bold yet understated design Fast loading and Quick Resume 4K, ray-tracing, VRR, and 120Hz support Xbox Game Pass is incredible value Comprehensive backward compatibility Negatives No new exclusives at launch Lacks any real innovation Controller requires AA batteries Limited storage Tired UI Bottom Line The Xbox Series X is a fantastic gaming machine that sadly lacks new exclusive games to showcase the hardware at its best. However, it lays the foundations for a resurgent Xbox brand, and when paired with Xbox Game Pass the Series X represents arguably the best balance of raw power and value for money of any console to date.
